Antivirus blocked me Effect House 2.5.2

Hi guys, with the new version EH 2.5.2 the protection system blocked me Effect house, a serious level trojan was detected . Logically I restored the block to use EH. Has this happened to anyone?

I’ve also experienced this! My antivirus has never pegged it as a serious level threat, but every update or time I reinstall it, I have to restore files and create exceptions too. I’ve had these issues with a lot of other development and programming software though, so I think it might have something to do with how the files and code are written that makes the antiviruses perceive it as being dangerous. I.e. Malware is often written in the same and/or similar programming languages that software like Effect House is written in + it tends to update and change files on our computers. Therefore, our antivirus likely can’t tell the difference between Effect House which changes ONLY files that we allowed it to make vs. Malware which changes files we didn’t allow it to change. That’s just my personal theory on why it happens since I used to have the same issues with app development software, but I may be wrong. :smiley_cat:

Your theory seems very sensible to me, I also thought of a similar thing. Thank you for the precise explanation. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

In my case it detected systemRequirementsLab. Weird - moments earlier effect house froze and the file that supposedly was a threat (Detection.exe) appeared out of nowhere while i did never install anything for about a year apart from effecthouse apa , At the same moment effecthouse stopped responding constantly blank window, i couldn’t tell what was the culprit so uninstalled Effect house and let antivir to delete malicious file, now i cannot install it again after because setupui frezzez.
I guess they either have become a victim of a supply chain attack( some dependency) or something. No idea but i am out of effect house , i cannot install it

Have the developers ever responded to this post or another similar? I recently tried to download and install version 3.4.1 and BitDefender flagged and quarantined so many of the files I was shocked. Debating if it is worth doing a workaround/exceptions or if TikTok really is just overreaching in what they want to access in our systems through their software.
