Bug? Built-in Render Output Texture delay

I have several render face makeup groups with cameras.

In each of those groups I put an image with Built-in Render Output texture. The cameras are pushing renders to their own render textures.

The idea is that we (the company I work in) showcase different makeups as a carousel and at the same time we want to use TikTok app built-in skin smooth, face deformation to ensure TikTok’s QA process is accepted.

However while using render textures (with Built-in Render Output as a base), there is a slight but uncomfortable delay between what is drawn (makeups) and the render textures.

Is there a way to solve the issue? I’ll try to send a sample bugged project later if needed.

Hi @Shivek! How are you doing?

Although I am not completely sure what you are asking, I will try my best to help.
Is there a reason you are using a separate built-in render output instead of using our Face Mask feature + interactions?
There is a button there that allows you to “cycle through children material” or “cycle through image textures”.
Let me know if this solves your problem or if you need some more help.
Feel free to include screenshots.

Hi @magicalcelery

There are several good reasons and use-cases for which I want to use Built-in Render Outputs and Render Textures. This time we want to use Built-in Render Output and sending the camera view to the Camera Input Render Texture.

  1. We do this, because later we can manipulate freely 2D Screen Images with those Render Textures (position, scale) and stack another 2D Images on top.
  2. Even more important - We do this, because the Built-in Render Output actually sends TikTok app’s built-in face deformations and face filters.

Let me explain and rephrase the problem. First

The problem I have encountered is that the Built-in Render Output doesn’t work properly. The delay is significant, it doesn’t match with face trackers, makes uncomfortable and poor user experience. We have to use Built-in Render Output because of TikTok’s built-in face deformations and face filters. The included project hierarchy is rather self explanatory. The left camera feed is laggy compared to the right side. But the right side wouldn’t pass QA. Is there a way to make it less laggy or is it really a bug?

Hi @magicalcelery , could you help me with this?
